NiPHEC 2017 Speakers

      1. dayo Adedayo

‘dayo Adedayo has always felt happiest behind the lens. He had a National Diploma in Photography from the Westminster College in Battersea passing out with Distinction before proceeding to the University of Westminster to study Photography Arts. His documentary ‘CREMATION’ was adjudged as the best ever the University had ever seen since inception.

He started out in professional photography with an inclination to the social aspect of photography. However, over the years, he shifted his anchor around the themes of his first love, Landscape and Documentary photography. Following this rediscovered path, ‘dayo Adedayo worked as a freelance photographer with Ovation International from 2002 – 2007 and has to his credit the opportunity of being the hand behind the lenses for the Magazine’s best-selling edition captioned “See Dubai and Die” in 2003. This edition has been attributed to the opening up of Dubai as a tourist destination to Nigerians.

Also between 2005 and 2007 he was the official photographer for ‘NIGERIA – THE HEART OF AFRICA’, a project that precipitated a lot of travelling all around the world, exhibiting Nigeria to the world in pictures. Within this period, with the introduction of the E-passport, Adedayo’s pictures were watermarked on the pages of the Nigerian International Passport pages, an honour he considers as the highest honour that could be bestowed on an artist and one that would live beyond him.

In 2010 he published his first book titled ‘NIGERIA’, a pictorial and informative compendium on Nigeria. This was immediately followed with another pictorial survey titled ‘LAGOS STATE – THE CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE’. The books were best sellers and caused quite a stir for both the extensive research and quality of production but also because as it was the first of its kind to be published in the country by a Nigerian. He also published NIGERIA 2.0 and NIGERIA THE MAGICAL. Other titles are already in print and are expected in the next few months.

      1. KELECHI AMADI OBI

A proficient painter and photographer, Kelechi Amadi-Obi studied to become a Lawyer but his love for the arts prevailed even before the opportunity to start his law practice.

His unique style, mastery of aesthetics and creative lighting in his paintings have been reinvented in his photography to create understanding, dynamic and result oriented photography for his clients some of which are Guinness Nigeria Plc, MTN Nigeria Plc., PZ Nigeria Plc.,British American Tobacco, The Ford Foundation, Prima Garnet Ogilvy, SO&U, Insight Grey, Nigerian Flour Mills and Orange Drugs Nigeria Ltd.

Some of his works have been featured in exhibitions within and outside Nigeria. These include; 2006 “Snap Judgement” – New Position in Contemporary African Photography, International Centre of Photography, New York, USA,2005 “Depth of Field” South London Gallery, UK, 2004, “Lagos” Ifa Gallery, Stuttgart, Germany, 2003 “Transferts” Africalia, Brussels, Belgium. In 2004, he won the St.Moritz Style Award for Photography.

      1. LEKE ADENUGA

Leke Adenuga known as LA is a UK Certified Coach who focuses on entertainment. He is a content creator, strategist, producer and director who started out as a Photographer over 15 years ago. His vast experience in the areas above has greatly contributed to making him a reliable trainer and speaker. He is happily married with kids, anundoubtedly passionate Nigerian who credits God for all he achieves.

      1. GBEMI ADENUGA

Gbemi finished from University of Lagos with a LL.B in 1999, she obtained am LL.M from University of Wales (UK) in International Business Law in 2003. She is also working on completing her Diploma in International Commercial Arbitration from the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, London. She is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association, Chartered Institute of Arbitration (Nigerian Branch) and Nigerian Institute for Training and Development.

She has practiced as a Lawyer in different firms and organizations providing various legal services: legal advice, managing foreign relationships and agreements, etc. She is the lead Associate in Novate Associates, a legal and business firm poised to work with businesses as they journey from nothing, pass through the rough times and evolve to an efficient and effective SME.

      1. FEMI COKER

Femi is a Commercial Photographer, producer, trainer and media production executive based in Lagos Nigeria. He specializes in Portrait, Architecture, commercial photography and Cinematography. Femi has trained several professional photographers and cinematographers both within and outside the country and his passion for photography education is evident in his personality and delivery.

He has worked with several top organizations while handling some of the most complex photography briefs and his passion for teaching adds to his wealth of global experience in photography. Femi is currently the chief executive officer of Buzz Multimedia Services, a top media production company based in Nigeria.

      1. JESSE AKERELE-OMOGHENE

Jesse is a graduate of art from the prestigious Yaba College of Techonolgy. He began his career as an artist at a very tender age of 8. His passion for the arts led him through the storm even till his admission into school.

In 2005, he discovered his passion for photography.He began to develop his interest and passion from instructions and guidance from Abraham Onoriede Oghobase who schooled him into the nitty-gritty of photography. In 2007, he was selected amongst the nine finalists to represent his school in ‘NOKIA EXPRESSION’ photography competition where he met with Kelechi Amadi-Obi who helped sharpen his thinking as an artist/photographer. In 2016, he was the first place Winner of the NIKON Capture Nigeria Architecture Summit photography Contest. Jesse has been able to infuse his painting and creative skills into photography which has carved a niche for him in his career. His dynamic approach to composition, lighting and color has made his works sort after by lovers of good photography.

      1. SAMUEL OGUNLAJA

An energetic photographer with over 5 years’ experience in custom and specialized photography. He’s competent at capturing high quality images and organizing materials for photo-shoots while displaying confidence and professionalism at all times. Samuel is conversant with different types of photography and well versed with a few advanced photography equipment.

      1. BIG H

He started photography in 2012 and has been growing as an Artist ever since. He is a Fashion and Portraits Photographer. However, landscape and conceptual art are some of the things that he loves to do and he hopes to someday create the time to pursue these interests. He loves to travel and experience different people and cultures.

Fashion photography is great and unique as it allows to work with different professionals from different fields and to also learn from them. According to him, to grow in Photography, one must nurture, train and work hard at getting better each day. He allows his passion drive him.

      1. BOLAJI ZEALET

Abolaji Zealet Rasaq has over a decade of motion graphics editing and film producing experience, extensive experience on production of audio-visual contents. He has produced documentaries, short films and TV commercials. He is verse in Microsoft Windows, Ubuntu Linux and Apple Macintosh workstations ranging from graphics designing, motion graphics and visual effects. Knowledgeable in computer hardware and various devices, extensive experience using different range of video cameras, Digital SLR cameras and Drones. He is a devout multimedia professional. Born in Ibadan, Oyo State Nigeria, he attended the ace University of Lagos, Akoka, where he studied Biochemistry.

Before Zealet Multimedia, Abolaji was with Boduvision Studios, owner of popular children program, Kali and Tewa Show, as an Assistant Producer. He was instrumental in creating 3d model of Indomie Super Pack, Indomie Onion Chicken Flavour for their various campaigns.

Abolaji is an avid reader, researcher, writer, poet, loves music and derives joy in updating contents of his two blog sites (www.naijatechground.comand www.mylovepulse.com ), when he is not producing or editing.

      1. TOSIN BAKRE

A professional photographer who uses her skill and education as a tool for impacting lives positively. She renders distinct photography services which addresses client’s specific needs. Tosin gives back to the society via training.

      1. ASIKO 

Asiko is a visual artist who expresses his ideas through the medium of photography and mixed media. He was born in London, England and spent his formative years in Lagos, Nigeria and adolescent years in London.

His work is constructed in the narrative that straddles between fantasy and reality as a response to his experiences of identity, culture and heritage.

His project Layers was featured on the BBC and Huffington Post and exhibited at the South Bank in London. His recent project Adorned was recently exhibited at The Gallery of African Art in London and made up his first solo show at Rele Gallery in Nigeria in 2016.

His other recent projects include Style Fusion Adorned series, Gallery of African Art, London, Sep 2016; Culinary Art Samsung culinary art exhibition, Rele Gallery, Lagos, May 2016 and Layers International Women’s Day, South Bank Centre, London, Mar 2016. He currently creates works in London and Nigeria.

      1. YOMI AKANNI

Passionate and energetic photographer with over 5 year extensive experience in Digital photography and Cinematography. He enjoys capturing quality images and organizing all sort materials for creative photo shoots. His years of experience has exposed me him to different types of photography including fashion, events, portraits, art and documentary.

      1. OYEBOLA FAMUYIWA

He ventured into photography while studying Electrical/Electronics Engineering at the University of Ibadan. That path has enabled him create art that is appreciated by people. Each fine art photograph he creates is a combination of the subject being photographed and his creative imagination being captured and expressed. He digitally converts and enhances his images to professional standards.

He embarks on projects that make use of various types of photography. He shoots images in landscape, portrait, still, nature and many different formats. The ability to share his cherished experiences in visual formats with people is one of the things that interest him the most.

      1. SEUN AKISANMI

Seun Akisanmi is a talented, creative teacher and educator with an unusual business mindset. His passion for photography was ignited after his mum got him a Christmas present in 1998: a Samsung camera. After many years as a hobbyist, he ventured fully in a career of professional photography in 2006 when he founded eloPhotos Studios, an outfit that delivers world-class creative photography services. Since then he has covered numerous events and projects, one of which included the photography coverage of Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja for their 2009 calendar.

A photography facilitator in Daystar Skill Acquisition Project {DSAP}, he received his Bsc in Business Administration from Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville, Illinois, U.S.A. In February 2010, he established eloPhotos Academy, an institute with a vision of raising world–class photographers and the results have been mind–blowing. 

      1. KIKELOMO WOLEOSHO

KikelomoWoleosho is a passionate photopreneur especially in the areas of child, maternity and family photography and also a fantastic photography teacher. She teaches photography and entrepreneurship within and outside Lagos and has written articles for various magazines.

She’s a graduate of Chemistry education from the Lagos state university (LASU), an alumna of eloPhotos Academy, Daystar business academy, Daystar leadership academy, Word of Faith Bible Institute (WOFBI) and has also participated in various seminars on business, photography, marketing, branding etc. She is a recipient of the World Bank scholarship for women in business at the Pan-Atlantic University and a recipient of the Cherie Blair foundation Road to Business Growth for women.

Kikelomo runs red19 Photography, a company that majors in children, maternity and family photography and is deliberate about promoting “Family bond” with their photography services. She has done several personal exhibitions and has been part of various group photography exhibitions amongst which is the She-Photographers exhibition on women (2011) and on cancer (2014) at Goethe institute, Lagos. She is also a part of the core team of NiPHEC (Nigeria Photography Expo and Conference) where she teaches photography related topics often.

      1. DAMILOLA ELLIOTT

Trained as an Architect, Damell got his first 2 megapixel “point and shoot” camera which he shot his first Wedding with. From then, it was clear that Photography was going to be his major communications tool. He enjoys shooting weddings; capturing moments, emotions, expressions of an excited bride and ecstatic groom are priceless to him.

When he’s not globe-trotting to photograph a wedding or social event, he is most likely capturing a sunset, stitching up panoramas for a landscape, shooting an industrial facility or clicking away on the back seat of a helicopter for some aerial shots.

      1. KOLAWOLE AYANLOLA

Kolawole is an Accounting graduate of the Ondo State Polytechnic Owo, Ondo state. He started his working career in Union Merchant Bank Limited as an Industrial Attachment personnel. He had a stint in teaching while he was undergoing his NYSC Programme Adamawa state.

After his NYSC programme, he set up a small scale Civil Engineering construction company with two of his friends who happened to be Civil Engineers. The company supplies building materials and was involved in the construction of various GSM Base station sites and residential buildings, he was the accountant and Project Coordinator.

Upon invitation in 2006, he became the Head of Accounts of David Richards Associates; he left in 2008 to consult for Kelechi Amadi-Obi Studios, a professional photography company with a very rich client base in and outside Nigeria and later became a staff of the company for 9 years. He is now an SME Consultant who specializes on entrepreneurial training, writing of business plans, proposals, feasibility studies, corporate personnel training and tax registration. He is happily married.

      1. TOYE PETERS

Toye is a videographer, photographer, tutor and non-linear video editor who will stop at nothing to be creative. His passion and persistence has seen him through this course for over four years professionally. Having worked on several projects for notable brands, he is pretty much willing to share. He has trained over 50 students, an alumnus of the prestigious eloPhotos Academy and a regular facilitator at past editions of NiPHEC.

      1. ADENIKE ALONGE

A finance practitioner turned entrepreneur. A thorough lady who approaches her photography with the end in mind. The need to capture the soul of her hand made unisex real leather accessories led her into taking a crash course in photography; mid-way into the course, she fell in love with photography and its potentials and she decided to pursue it full time. She has over the months been tutored in the art of creative photography at eloPhotos Academy. Adenike sees photography as a medium for social change and is gradually channeling all the learning into Advertising photography for indigenous small scale businesses. She is undoubtedly passionate about Nigeria.

      1. JUSTINE ELVIS NWACHUKWU

Justine is a wedding photographer based in Lagos. He started photography professionally in 2011 under the mentorship of Mr Akara Ogheneoworo, he kicked off the Justine Elvis photography brand in 2012. He was the 5th Runner up in the 2015, Nikon photography exhibition conference that held in Lagos. He is a brand and social media advertisement consultant.

      1. MOSOPE ONANUSI

Mosope’s active disposition pushed her to resign her white-collar job to pick up professional photography. A result driven administrator and organizer who won’t take no for an answer, a motivator and friend. Her love for people and the need to creatively help young people has fueled her passion towards documentary photography. A certified Human Resource Professional, now trained Creative image artist.

      1. OLAJUMOKE SANNI

She is an artist in the still imagery industry in Nigeria with a passion for wedding and documentary photography. Having a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies in Ghana, she is bringing a different interpretation to light and images.

      1. KOFOWOROLA OLUWAPOJUWO

Kofo Oluwapojuwo is a graduate of Agric Economics and Extension. A wife, mother and a talented dramatist. She is a leader of all standards both professionally and spiritually.
Kofo is currently an educationist by profession, an entrepreneur and a lover of teenagers whom she loves to impact morals and values into.

24. NTA EKPIKEN

Nta Ekpiken is a Senior Associate in the Intellectual Property Department of the Nigerian leading Law firm of Aluko & Oyebode. She holds a Masters degree [LLM] from Swansea University, Wales, United Kingdom and is an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators UK [ICSA]. She advises multi-nationals, nationals and individual clients on the legal framework for the protection of Intellectual Property Rights, brand protection and anti-counterfeiting measures in Nigeria. Nta is passionate about brand protection and manages the Secretariat of the Anti-Counterfeiting Collaboration, (ACC) Nigeria, an NGO that campaigns against intellectual property theft and infringement amongst other related issues.

In 2012, Nta put together a stakeholder’s forum to discuss and advocate for the passing into law of the Intellectual Property Commission Bill and Anti-Counterfeiting Bill in Nigeria. Nta continues to work with the relevant regulatory bodies in Nigeria to collaborate and campaign against the adverse effects of counterfeiting and piracy to the economy.

Nta supervised the ACC, Nigeria/United States Consulate in Nigeria, Anti-Malaria Campaign Project and represented Nigeria in the United States of America International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) on the Protection of Intellectual Property Rights in 2014. She is an Associate Fellow of the Nigerian Leadership Initiative (AFNLI) and a member of the Spirit of David gospel dance club in Nigeria.

25. KOLAWOLE AYANLOLA

Kolawole Ayanlola is an Accounting graduate whose working career has span through 15years.

He has worked in the banking industry, the construction industry, was once a lecturer in a Polytechnic before he joined a consulting firm where he cut his teeth in consulting as an associate consultant.

He joined a professional photographic company and consulted for the company for five years during which by the Grace of God the company became the most sorted after in the photographic industry. He oversees the accounting department of the company. He also acted as their financial adviser and admin officer. He actually wrote the business plan the company worked with for the five years he consulted for them.

He has consulted and has written business plans for various startup businesses and SMEs. He specializes in the writing of business plans, proposals, feasibility studies, corporate personnel training and he conducts surveys on any kind of business.  He also does tax registration for both individuals and corporate companies.

He was also involved in the conduct of  due diligence for Aguda Community Bank when it was to be converted to Gideon Trust Microfinance Bank, one of the Microfinance Banks approved by the CBN. Also he was part of the due diligence done on a Pharmacy retail store for the purpose of raising N50 million to expand their operations. And he did the survey and wrote the expansion proposal for MIC Microfinance Bank Ltd to open branches in five local government areas of Lagos State which was never implemented.

He is presently the Managing Partner of Ahlab Business Concepts, an accounting consulting firm that he started in the year 2015 from the scratch and presently have five (5) SME clients and counting to the Glory of God.

26. OLAWUNMI OLUDIMINE

Olawunmi is a graduate of Co-operative & Business Management. She is
customer centric with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, she
started her early career as a Quality Assurance Officer: Follow-up and Query
Resolution Desk at Access Bank Plc. In her present role, as a Document
Controller at AOS Orwell Limited, She coordinates documentation for many
high-level projects of the Organisation.
Her professional successes as an Associate of the Chartered Institute of
Personnel Management, Associate of the Chartered Institute of Training and
Development, Certified Document Controller and Trained Project Manager
have enabled her to effectively work with different units, teams and
departments in her years of experience
She takes pleasure in meeting new people and she loves to Travel and
Counsel.
Olawunmi is married to the Head Photographer at Freez Photography.

27. AKINWUMI OSUNKOYA
 Akinwumi Osunkoya is a New York City trained but Nigerian based Photographer and Filmmaker. Graduate of the New York Film Academy, he has a high level of experience working in the New York Photography platform and at the New York Film Academy.
His works are published in International Magazines, he is an educator and mentor to excelling Photographers.
28. OLUGBENGA IJALANA
Olugbenga Ijalana is a Full Member of the Nigerian Institute of Training & Development (NITAD), the professional body of human resource training, learning, development & facilitation practitioners in Nigeria and a Full Member of the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (Chartered), the certifying body for marketing professionals in Nigeria.
He is a graduate of the University of Lagos with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) degree in Sociology and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with specialization in Marketing. He holds the Certified Customer Service Associate (CCSA) and Certified Customer Service Professional (CCSP) certifications from the Service Quality Institute, Minneapolis, USA, the global leader in customer service.
He has had working experience in the downstream petroleum marketing, banking, health insurance, training & photography management.
29. GEORGE OKORO
A Seasoned Photographer with a niche for weddings and portfolio that covers high profile weddings and events in Nigeria,Ghana,South Africa, Brazil, Germany, UAE, UK, USA.
30. HENRY CHEN
With 10 years of experience as a wedding photographer, Henry Chen of Aevitas Weddings has captured over 400 weddings all over the US and world in a wide variety of settings, styles, cultures, and faiths (www.aevitasweddings.com).
In addition, Henry runs an online educational effort, including two podcasts, courses, and workshops, to help other wedding photographers book more weddings, go full-time and become successful (www.weddingphotographypodcast.com).
When not spending time at a wedding or teaching and inspiring his students, Henry enjoys traveling with his wife and backpacking in the Sierra mountains of California. His ultimate dream is to build a school and teach financial, business, and entrepreneurial skills to young minds.
